Digital Sensor Head SSAX1

In addition to the high-quality sensor element and the measuring amplifier, the SSAX1 sensor head includes a μController for processing the measured values. All relevant data and measured values of the sensor element are stored in the μController in a fail-safe manner and are transmitted digitally via the local bus to the WSB2/MSC2 or PX2 via the local bus. Calibration management is also integrated in the μController of the sensor head. Calibration can be carried out by simply changing the sensor head or using the integrated, convenient calibration routine directly on the system.

The SSAX1 is connected directly to the PX2 and can therefore be used as a complete device in the ATEX zone. In addition, the ATEX-certified sensor head SSAX1 can also be connected to a WSB2/MSC2 or PX2 (which are installed outside the danger zone) on its own in the danger zone with the corresponding ATEX cable in order to evaluate the sensor there.
